13 Berlin film festivals of FESTIWELT make program together!
Welcome to a wild short film mix on the theme of myths & magic.

It's time to celebrate: The opening of the Berlin Open Air Season 2025.

The two-hour film programme also has guests: organizers of the Berlin film festivals will be present. One reason for the event is to introduce the audience to the respective Berlin film festivals, to make them palatable.

Another background is the political concern of FESTIWELT: as an association and network with over 20 member festivals, the institution has been persistently pursuing cultural policy with the Berlin Senate and Parliament for years. Many of the festivals receive no funding from the city, even though the initiators do a great deal for Berlin's culture, bring guests to the metropolis, fill the cinemas and offer audiences films that could hardly be seen anywhere else.
