The Neuhausen City Library offers a varied program, stay, lending and hospitality:

4 p.m. to 7 p.m., 1st floor and on Saturday at 10 a.m. on the 2nd floor

Cuddly toy sleepover:

What happens in the library at night when everyone is at home and the library has long since closed? Your cuddly toys can tell you about it! We cordially invite all cuddly toys to a sleepover party! On Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. you can drop off your favorite cuddly toy and on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. you can pick it up again and find out what the cuddly toys experienced during their adventurous night.

17.00 to 20.00, 1st floor

Zine workshop! Crafting and punk culture:

Design your own zine and learn about punk and riotgrrrl history along the way. Zines are non-commercial, autonomous magazines of any kind. In a zine you can creatively present your thoughts and your lifeblood and share them with others. Craft materials are already available in the library, but you are welcome to bring photos or anything you want to stick in your zine.

18.00 to 21.00, basement

VR Experiences:

If you fancy a little time out in virtual space, this offer is just right for you. With virtual reality glasses, you can experience real and fictional places in an incredibly realistic way. For the Night of the Libraries, we are presenting offers that all participants aged 8 and over can try out quickly and easily. The language of many VR offers is English. Waiting times are to be expected in case of high demand.

19.00 to 21.00, first floor

Library pub quiz:

Are you familiar with libraries? If yes, you can test your knowledge in a quiz, if no, you are guaranteed to learn something new about libraries, books, media and reading. We cordially invite you to our pub quiz evening. In three rounds, teams can answer quiz questions and win prizes.

20.00 to 23.00, 1st floor reading room

Munich Ukulele Collective:

The Munich Ukulele Collective (MUC) is making a stop in Neuhausen to spread the fun of playing the ukulele. Anyone who enjoys playing the ukulele with others and wants to spend a relaxed, enjoyable evening can come along and join in. The notes and lyrics are provided by the MUC and then we play, sing and laugh together.

19.00 to 23.00 hrs:

Fat Butcher hosts with drinks and snacks

On Friday, April 4, 2025, the Night of the Libraries will take place for the first time nationwide. Under the motto "Knowledge.Share.Discover", small and large libraries, special libraries, public and academic libraries will open their doors on the first Friday evening in April and invite you to a diverse discovery tour.
