Mit Heine durch die Nacht

In the organizer's words:

Once a year, all of Düsseldorf's museums open their doors late into the night. The Heine-Institut also offers a colorful program that will delight literature and music fans alike.

In the rooms of our current special exhibition, actor Falk Philippe Pognan will read from "Harzreise". Immerse yourself in the young Heine's poetic descriptions of nature and be captivated by his sharp-tongued commentary on the times and society. Regular guided tours complement the impulse readings and take you on Heine's trail through the Harz landscape.

Another highlight of the evening is the reading by actor Devid Striesow from his book "Klassik drastisch": with humor and passion, he tells the stories behind the great works of classical music, the idiosyncrasies of the composers and their quirky adventures - and shows why classical music is a treasure trove of happiness.

Dancer and choreographer Nikolai Kemeny provides a unique performance. Together with pianist Florian Weber, he interweaves the traditions of classical music with the world of tap dance.

In addition, the Speedos with their double bass, western guitar, saxophone and drums will liven up our museum rooms and create an exuberant atmosphere!
