Nacht der Museen im Landtag: Kunst, Musik und Architektur erleben

The state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia will open on Saturday, 26 April 2025, from 7 p.m. for the Night of the Museums with a program of information, art experiences and electronic music. André Kuper, President of the state parliament, invites you to experience the parliament and its architecture in a special atmosphere as part of the "Bridges not Walls" program.

"The Night of the Museums in the North Rhine-Westphalia State Parliament is an integral part of the art and culture scene in Düsseldorf. It offers a unique look behind the scenes of the heart of democracy in our state. Our guests experience the special atmosphere of parliament in the evening, learn how our democracy works and can get to know extraordinary art. The State Parliament on the Rhine has set standards for parliamentary buildings and at the Night of the Museums you can experience it in a slightly different atmosphere - with art, smartphone tours and electronic music," says André Kuper.

This year, the state parliament is putting on a special art presentation. Master students of Prof. Christian Macketanz from Dresden are exhibiting their works in the state parliament. In this way, the parliament of the westernmost federal state is building a bridge to the east of the Federal Republic. The exhibition includes paintings, graphics, videos and animations and offers visitors the opportunity to experience the diversity and creativity of the current art scene.

In addition to the art, guests can expect musical highlights: Neuton, the acoustic pop duo consisting of Anna Rodziewicz and Tobias Kiel, will create a special atmosphere in the plenary hall with a mixture of well-known pop songs and their own compositions. Their music, accompanied by acoustic guitar and harmonious two-part vocals, creates a unique sound that sounds like a whole band. Later in the evening, DJ AXL NT will be spinning driving and atmospheric beats that invite you to dance. The DJ is in demand both nationally and internationally and provides the perfect musical accompaniment to the night with his energetic set.

Parliament is not only a place to visit and experience democracy and culture - as a modern employer, it also offers exciting jobs. During the Night of the Museums, the administration also provides information about career opportunities at the heart of democracy. Short presentations on architecture, history and the political work of parliament round off the evening.
