Night Blind - Andrzej Zulawski

The photographer Servais falls in love with the unsuccessful actress Nadine Chevalier. She also seems to find him attractive and repeatedly seeks his company. However, Nadine is married. Her mentally unstable husband Jacques initially pretends to like the attractive young photographer himself and wants to be friends with him, but keeps a close eye on the rapprochement between his wife and Servais. In order to be able to see Nadine more often and in the hope of finally seeing her happy, Servais secretly finances a play by the eccentric director Messala. In return, he demands that Messala give Nadine the leading role in the play. The premiere is followed by a rude awakening for all those involved and the reviews are scathing. Not only that, but the love triangle between Nadine, Jacques and Servais seems to be getting more and more out of kilter and heading for a tragic end ...
