Fresh off their 2023 debut album Hamt Zamin Hümüs, NaraBara hit the road in Europe, spreading Mongolian Nu Jazz vibes across the globe. After dropping singles like Nara Nara Nara and the EP Dab Hi, they wrapped up their China tour this spring and made a powerful impact with a standout performance on the main stage at the Playtime Music Festival in Mongolia.
Amid the whirlwind of preparation, the band’s mantra has been to embrace uncertainty and stay mindful in the present. This laid-back philosophy naturally inspired the theme for their 2024 Europe Tour: “Take a Break.”
Alongside the tour, NaraBara is dropping their new single BIMBA. In Mongolian and Tibetan, “Bimba” represents both Saturn and Saturday. The song plays with an unconventional 4/5 time signature, reflecting a struggle that never quite resolves—a metaphor for the tension between striving and rest.
Saturn’s wisdom out of pressure and Saturday’s chill time loop together, reminding us all that life needs regular breaks to regain inner peace. This harmony with nature’s rhythms has always guided NaraBara’s music, much like the Buddhist “Middle Way” (中道), where balance is key to inner tranquility and spiritual freedom.
So, “Take a Break” is more than just an invitation—it’s the fuel that powers NaraBara’s next journey.
