On July 24, 2025, DURCHLÜFTEN is teaming up with Berlin's XJAZZ! Festival to shine a spotlight on local artists who not only perform on stage, but also act as key players in a vibrant creative community. In challenging times, this collaboration underscores the power of music to connect, inspire and build sustainable artistic networks.

The XJAZZ! Festival goes beyond jazz - it is a lived experience that redefines and nourishes contemporary Berlin jazz. With a cross-genre line-up of local and international artists, the festival celebrates musical fluidity, diversity and the constant transformation of artistic expression.

Natalie Greffel (Mozambique, Denmark, Berlin)

Natalie Greffel is a Mozambican-Danish composer, singer and bassist based in Berlin. Her music combines Afro-Brazilian influences, jazz and elements of her Mozambican heritage in a multi-layered way, exploring themes of identity and diaspora. She is a winner of the German Jazz Award in the vocal category and has worked with artists such as Angel Bat Dawid and Radio Citizen. As the founder of New Past, a collective that musically explores global histories, Greffel transcends artistic and cultural boundaries - both as a performer and as a curator, for example as part of her work at the XJAZZ! Festival in Berlin. She was already a guest at DURCHLÜFTEN in 2021 and we warmly welcome her again in 2025.
