Drawing and understanding nature
The interplay between art and science

Art and science are closely linked: Without knowledge of nature, you cannot draw it well. You will experience the interplay between art and biology in theory and practice and thus refine your perceptual and creative skills. We look at plants and animals in our region, go out into nature and draw them. You will get to know the principle of Fibonacci numbers (Da Vinci Code) and implement them in drawings. This numerical code characterizes evolution and explains nature, art and the cosmos in their context.

Please bring along: Sketchbook and/or A4 pad (min. 120g), HB, 2B, 4B, 6B pencil, eraser (not blue-red), magnifying glass, charcoal, kneaded eraser, paper eraser, fixative for charcoal. If you want to draw in color, please bring your own materials.
