Cheers to the turn of the year and the jubilarian!

In 2025, the "Waltz King" Johann Strauss (son) would have celebrated his 200th birthday - and this must of course also be celebrated in a fitting manner outside his Viennese homeland. The NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra is dedicating its concerts on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day to this man of sheer inexhaustible inventiveness. The North German orchestra thus joins the Viennese tradition of toasting the turn of the year with a firework display of operetta melodies, waltzes and polkas.
