"NDR Kultur Foyerkonzert on tour" im Auswanderermuseum BallinStadt

Kick-off for the popular concert series: the first "NDR Kultur Foyer Concert on Tour" of the year will take place on February 20, 2025. Guests can look forward to a varied concert by the ATOS Trio at the BallinStadt Emigration Museum in Hamburg. As usual, the evening will be hosted by NDR Kultur editor Ludwig Hartmann.

The three members of the ATOS Trio know all about wanderlust and life in different places. Annette von Hehn (violin), Stefan Heinemeyer (cello) and Thomas Hoppe (piano) have been performing as the ATOS Trio in concert halls around the world for over 20 years, delighting audiences with their performances. They interpret chamber music in a refreshing way and have already won numerous prestigious prizes. In addition to their musical activities, they are also involved in education and teach at universities in Germany and Italy.

The BallinStadt Emigration Museum provides the perfect backdrop for the concert. On the former site of the emigration halls, guests can embark on a journey through the history of immigration and emigration. At its peak, up to 5,000 people a day were accommodated here who wanted to emigrate to a new home via Hamburg. Their dreams and wishes as well as fascinating facts about the history of migration can be experienced in the Emigration Museum. Three of the original 31 buildings have been reconstructed and now house the permanent and changing special exhibitions.

Guests at the "NDR Kultur Foyer Concert on Tour" can look forward to an unforgettable evening. Before the concert begins at 4:30 pm, there will also be an opportunity to visit the BallinStadt Emigration Museum free of charge.
