voiceXchange #11: Baroque & Beatbox Reloaded

Club atmosphere instead of a classical concert hall: in the "voiceXchange" concert series, singers from the NDR Vokalensemble bring a cappella music to Hamburg clubs and other alternative venues.

B for beatboxing and baroque music

Daniel Mandolini, multiple German champion, European champion and world vice-champion in beatboxing, joins the NDR Vokalensemble and voiceXchange: classical vocal movements are sampled live, covered, underlaid with beats - and gradually the whole thing turns into a joint club evening.

Mandolini is classically trained: He studied guitar at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin and then specialized in the art of beatboxing. He now combines both - at the club concert in the Kaiserkeller, he will perform music by Monteverdi together with the NDR Vokalensemble.
