Not so long ago, Kasperl and Seppel outsmarted the coffee mill thief, and the ever-correct constable Dimpfelmoser duly locked him up in the fire station. But Hotzenplotz has managed to break out and is already munching on Grandma's sausages and all the delicious sauerkraut, disguised as a constable. But anyone who thinks that's all there is to it is completely wrong! The mean robber kidnaps Grandma and Kasperl and Seppel naturally want to free her. When they themselves are captured by Hotzenplotz, the situation seems hopeless.

But nobody - apart from the constable Dimpfelmoser - counts on the magical powers of the state-certified clairvoyant Schlotterbeck, who, together with her crystal ball and her crocodile dog Wasti, tracks down the robber and the prisoners...
