On the first weekend in May, a varied program invites numerous guests to visit Neuss city centre. On Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6.30 p.m., numerous stalls along the main street between Hamtorwall and Markt will be selling jewelry, decorations, plants, Mediterranean salami specialties, Portuguese cork goods, liqueurs in preserving jars and much more. Homemade batiks, hats and caps, jewelry and accessories, natural soaps and handmade items from Madagascar are also on offer. At a large flower stand at the former Kaufhof department store in Niederstraße, visitors can purchase "blooming things" for the home and garden. In addition, catering stands with sweet and savory dishes and cool drinks ensure the physical well-being of visitors. A carousel awaits young visitors to the town festival in front of the town hall.

This year, the "Blue Light Mile" will once again be set up on the Lower Market, where various players such as the rescue services, DLRG, fire department and police will present their work and offer colorful hands-on activities. Families in particular will find many different activities for children of all ages - a bouncy castle, the Malteser dog squadron and many more.

On Sunday, numerous stores will beopen in the city center from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. as part ofSunday shopping.

LAGA GmbH and Grüne Herz e.V. will be presenting themselves in front of the town hall and providing information about developments relating to the 2026 State Garden Show and the new park area.

Despite the city festival, customers do not have to do without their weekly market on Münsterplatz. It will take place there as usual on Saturdays. With these numerous offers, Neuss city center invites visitors from Neuss and the surrounding area to visit on both days, be it for strolling and shopping, fun and action for kids or simply to meet in a nice ambience in one of the numerous street cafés.
