New Noveta | Performance

As part of Spätschichtx Creamcake, the artist duo New Noveta activates the former main entrance of the Gropius Bau with a new, site-specific performance.

New Noveta is an interdisciplinary artist duo founded in London in 2011. Keira Fox and Ellen Freed work together in the fields of choreography, performance, installation and visual design and their practice deals with socio-political unrest and labor struggles. They create site-specific interventions through the presentation of properties, costumes, props and sound.

New Noveta's international presentations include their solo exhibition and performance Fateful at Kunstverein Freiburg (2018), participation in Keren Cytter's exhibition Cold Summer at Ludwig Forum (2022) and contributions to Ester Krumbachová's retrospective at The Brno House of Arts, Czech Republic (2021). Fox and Freed often collaborate with artists such as Sophie Sleigh-Johnson, Astrid Gnosis and Susu Laroche on their projects and their work has been shown at SMK Copenhagen, Ludwig Forum and Synagogue de Delme in France, among others. Her most recent works include Nothing New , which was presented at Beau Travail, Stockholm, earlier this year.
