NewComeUp Poetry Slam - the slam stage for newcomers.
New names, fresh texts, six minutes in the spotlight and the audience is the jury. Who will win the "Golden Feather"?

Poetry slam is interactive, varied and free of genre boundaries: Just you, your text, the microphone and the audience is the jury - that sums up the format in a nutshell. This field of experimentation for comedy, cabaret, poetry, rap and all varieties in between has produced many, sometimes dazzling stage personalities in recent years (Torsten Sträter, Marc-Uwe Kling, Hazel Brugger, Felix Lobrecht, Till Reiners, Lisa Eckhart, and many more).

Since coronavirus, however, it has become apparent that slam stages are increasingly being used by established artists and that there is a lack of up-and-coming talent. This is where the new format comes in: The NewComeUp Poetry Slam offers a stage to all those who are still at the very beginning and want to address an audience with their texts (sometimes for the first time).
