Newsroom

In the organizer's words:

An interactive news program by and with young people, which is produced live each time on the Parkaue stage.

How are opinions formed? How is fake news created? What role do the media play in our democracy and what do they mean to us personally?

Together with young Berliners, the Henrike Iglesias theater collective sets out in search of answers and creates a new form of news broadcast in which the audience can help decide with their own smartphones: Which story will make it onto the stage and which won't? Who gets attention and who is the most credible? And can the audience escape the influence of the young performers? - No two shows are the same, because "Newsroom" is a DIY (Do-It-Yourself) and DIT (Do-It-Together) news program.

Henrike Iglesias is a feminist theater collective that explores pop cultural and mass media phenomena and is interested in how they influence our lives together.


INFO FOR THE VISIT OF "NEWSROOM"

Please bring your cell phone. If you don't have a cell phone, we can provide you with one (while stocks last).
If your cell phone battery is empty, we have a power bank for you (while stocks last).
You only need the browser*, so make sure you can use it beforehand. If a time lock or a lock is set up for the use of the browser, this must be unlocked beforehand.
The data volume consumption during the performance is very low. You still have the option of connecting to the WLAN.

*A browser is a computer program that can be used to view and search websites, e.g. Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome etc. It is automatically installed on every Internet-enabled cell phone.
