"Nicht ohne mich!" - Stadtführung zur Demokratie und Gerechtigkeit in Bremen

Not without me!

Since the rise of extreme parties at home and abroad, there has been a growing debate in politics and society about basic democratic values and the democratic system in general. The rise of extreme parties and, most recently, the US election are increasingly bringing the issue of democracy to the forefront of public debate. Parties, trade unions, citizens' initiatives and individual citizens called for demonstrations for democracy ahead of the 2025 elections to the German Bundestag and the last elections to the European Parliament in 2024. Hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets across Germany and gave hope to those who have long been committed to defending our democracy.

StattReisen Bremen is therefore offering this new city tour on the subject of democracy and justice, which focuses on the development and design of the democratic system in Bremen. It shows what democracy actually means, that countless people have fought for it and that it took long discussions and processes before today's political system was established.
