There have never been boundaries in the music of Night Verses. With influences from alternative metal, prog, mathcore, trip-hop and shoegaze, the trio from Los Angeles have long since allowed their post-hardcore roots to sprout in multi-colored blossoms. Amidst their virtuoso complexity, the band's latest album "Every Sound Has a Color in the Valley of Night" nevertheless reveals catchy melodies and musical structures that make their music both sophisticated and accessible. After a European tour supporting Tool in 2024, Night Verses supported Animals As Leaders in spring 2025. In September 2025, they will return with a headline tour and play four German concerts in Frankfurt am Main, Berlin, Munich and Hamburg.

Night Verses formed in Los Angeles in 2012 with singer Douglas Robinson, guitarist Nick DePirro, bassist Reilly Herrera and drummer Aric Improta. The debut EP "Out of the Sky" was released in the same year, followed by their debut album "Lift Your Existence" in 2014. Night Verses quickly attracted attention with their unconventional and sophisticated sound, which led to the band being signed to Equal Vision/Graphic Nature Records in 2015. In 2016, "Into the Vanishing Light" was released as their second album. In September 2017, Night Verses announced that they had parted ways with their singer Douglas Robinson. What initially seemed like a caesura in the band's history spurred the trio on with the decision to continue without a singer. In January 2018, Night Verses released the EP "Copper Wasp", which showcased their new, completely instrumental sound for the first time and served as a preview of their third album "From the Gallery of Sleep". The longplayer was released in 2018 and landed in several of the year's best lists. While Aric Improta became part of Fever 333 and one of the most talented drummers of his generation with his athletic performances, Night Verses initially went quiet. However, with the single "Arrival" in July 2023, the band made a definite comeback. After the second single "Karma Wheel", Night Verses released "Part 1" of their album "Every Sound Has a Color in the Valley of Night" in 2023, which was released in its entirety in 2024. The album includes a feature from Tool bassist Justin Chancellor ("Séance") and vocal features from Incubus singer Brandon on "Glitching Prisms".
