Marina Barth reads from Am Kronleuchter hängen wir nicht immer - wie Trude Herr die Welt sah as part of the Cologne Summer of Literature at NIMM PLATZ

Charlotte and Yannic are expecting a child. They are settling into a new life as a family. But then disaster strikes: their son, Gustav Tian Ming, dies. Yannic begins to write down what is happening around them. It is an attempt to understand what has happened to them, to find a language for the pain, but also for the warmth and love hidden within it.

The Cologne Summer of Literature is curated by the Cologne literary scene.
