How can resistance succeed when powerlessness prevails? How do you not give up hope for freedom when life at home is characterized by a violent, frightening occupation? Powerful documentary that delves deep into the ongoing conflict and repression in the West Bank. The film follows Palestinian activist Basel and Israeli journalist Yuval, who become closer through their shared conviction to bring the truth to light, despite coming from opposing worlds. The destruction of Masafer Yatta, a small Palestinian village that has been under constant pressure from the Israeli authorities for decades, is the focus of the film. The documentary captures the raw reality of life under occupation and highlights the daily struggles of the Palestinian community as they face the threat of eviction and the destruction of their homes.
