No time to shine

In the organizer's words:

Welcome to Stadtlantis, the city where you become the best version of yourself!

The world order as we knew it in the 2020s no longer exists. Destroyed by wars and global catastrophes, the survivors were forced to found a new state. In order to maintain social order in Stadtlantis, individual self-optimization was declared the highest state goal. People no longer have time for wars and doomsday scenarios because they are busy pushing their personal performance curve upwards. Job, relationship, hobbies, appearance - the hunt for the perfect self permeates all areas of life. Followed by the watchful eye of an artificial intelligence, the inhabitants of Stadtlantis collect life points in order to eventually rise to the highest social class, the Diamonds, and experience flawless happiness. This reveals the dark side of a system in which social isolation, pressure to perform, social coldness and egotism determine everyday life.

In a scenic collage, the youth club's ensemble puts a world to the test in which the capitalist idea of growth and performance is taken to extremes, until ultimately even one's own identity becomes a product. The players courageously ask questions that also affect us in the real world: Questions about the value of friendship, freedom, public spirit and the creative power of creativity.
