Nostalgia

Since 2014, the choreographer couple Roni Haver and Guy Weizman have been an important artistic constant in the development of tanzmainz. Together with the ensemble, they have created works such as My private Odyssey, 4, Small Places (at Kloster Eberbach) and most recently Freiheit.

In a unique way, Roni Haver and Guy Weizman succeed in combining powerful choreography, a lush visual language and socially relevant themes. In Nostalgia, they dedicate an ensemble of seven dancers to the question of how we actually experience the past. Whether transfiguration or condemnation, forgetting or idolization, remembering can be very radical. Why are we the way we are?
