Nouruz. Interkulturelle Begegnungen zum persischen Neujahrsfest

Nouruz has been celebrated by more than 300 million people for more than 3,000 years. Whether in the Middle East, Central Asia, the Caucasus, the Black Sea region or the Balkan Peninsula, the New Year is celebrated with many customs and ceremonies and has been included on UNESCO's list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 2009. "Hamseda Together" and Literaturherbst Heidelberg invite you to intercultural encounters to celebrate the New Year. The many special Nouruz customs and ceremonies of various ethnic groups will be presented in a large theater piece, complemented by dance, music, videos, speeches and poems, while also taking a look at their socio-political present.
