Nowaves feel like déjà vu. You know the sound from somewhere. But you don't quite know where. Melancholic synth waves waft around a reverberant beach garage guitar. This is underpinned by sophisticated bass lines and minimalist drums. You are finally carried away by the sound of the vocals, which are either overdriven or crystal clear in places. The feelings triggered are somewhere between joy and melancholy.
Excerpt from the Ox Fanzine about the album "Odd Secrets": "What the band delivers here once again oscillates somewhere between post-punk, cheekiness, a relaxed attitude and a basic musical understanding that I would have gladly killed for at the beginning of the eighties [...]. Another wonderfully relaxed post-punk album, without fear of the synthesizer or the garage. Some people would pledge their souls for this density of hits."
