After the death of his wife, Carl fulfills a lifelong dream: he flies to a waterfall in South America with a house full of balloons. But little boy scout Russell is along for the ride as a stowaway - and suddenly an adventure full of surprises begins. Together with the talking dog Dug and the giant bird Kevin, the two of them face the dangerous adventurer Charles Muntz.
