Important topics at the right time

The Ocean Film Tour is back. Once again this year, we are giving films a platform and people a voice who have something to say, whose stories should impress, inspire and be told. For example, "Row of Life" tells the story of Angela Madsen, a former para-olympian who has achieved and experienced everything and risks everything once again for one last great adventure, for her lifelong dream. "Kelp!" is a documentary about the seaweed of the same name. The film shows the innovative possibilities that the plant offers for agriculture, fishing and biofuels, among other things. "Nika" is an environmental portrait of a very special friendship between humans and animals and with Ethan Ewing, Griffin Colapinto, Seth Moniz and their film "Triology", three of the best surfers in the world are part of the program of this year's tour. A very special film is "7 Beats per Minute", in which apnoea diver Jessea Lu shows how incredible depths can lead to new heights.

Angela Madsen, a former Paralympian, wants to row from California to Hawaii. She has already mastered several ocean crossings as part of a team, but for this project she wants to take on the challenge all by herself.

KELP!

A brave crew, a sailing boat and a mission: KELP! takes us on an exciting adventure along the British coast. The young filmmaker Caylon reveals how a single sea plant could become a superhero in the fight against climate change.
