Ode to Things XL - Dance of the Many

Participatory dance theater by Laura Saumweber, Paula Niehoff, Martha Kröger & team

The things around us tell stories - of memories, relationships and the passage of time. In the new XL version of the dance theater piece Ode to Things, an interdisciplinary team (dance, theater, costume design) invites people of all ages and children from the Refugio Kunstwerkstatt to become part of this lively stage project. Together they will create a participatory production in which dance, movement and personal objects merge. Anyone who wants to take part can join this creative process! Dance becomes a medium of encounter and expression - without language barriers, but with all the more creative energy. Ode to Things XL - Dance of the Many brings professionals and amateurs together and shows how art can build bridges and empower people. An introductory workshop and a visit to the play "Ode to Things" on May 1 and 2 at Hoch X will provide a first insight into the work. No previous experience necessary - just curiosity and a love of movement!
