The Odonische Freitagsbühne is back.
Every Friday evening from May to September 2025, our sculpture garden will be a meeting place for live music and good vibes!

Between 6 and 10 p.m. there will be drinks, food and a varied soundtrack: punk, indie, soul, rock, cumbia, funk, open mic, global sound, RnB and pop.

The concerts usually start at 6:30 pm. Admission is free.

All artists play for the hat - donations are expressly welcome. Come along, bring your friends and enjoy the summer with us.

D'Karlos & El Caribbean Time

When it comes to blending flavor, culture, elegance, tradition and novelty, that's the spice of Caribbean Time.

The sound of Latin America and the whole world has brought this group together.

The artists from Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Germany, Spain, the USA and Cuba celebrate life in their songs. They represent a variety of genres such as funk, reggeatón, reggae, pop, son cubano, cumbia, merengue, Latin jazz, salsa and bachata.

English, Spanish and Portuguese cover songs enrich the musical diversity of the group.

It's open mic time again! For Friday, May 16, we are still looking for female acts who would like to perform 3 songs on the open stage. If you would like to participate, please contact us on Instagram at @openmic_cologne

Franziska Schicketanz

She writes German-language pop music that is sensitive, emotionally charged and tangibly honest in its approach to the listener. In it, the musician tells of love, special moments and their transience, but also of the fear of failure and the courage to overcome it again.

The Cologne native fell in love with music at a young age. But it took a few coincidences and encounters to finally lure her onto the stage. Since then, she has been making her way through the music jungle without a label or management behind her and has already played in front of Madeline Juno, Max Mutzke and Alin Coen.

Fyr (from 20:00)

an interplay between dignified warmth and cold white. Initial relaxation increasingly meets the constant urge to be on the move: To me, to you, to us - the main thing is (re)finding.

An honest German-alternative sound for which Maurin Mehlhose (guitar), Patrick Schwarz (bass), Oliver Hopp (synthesizer), Matthias Benedikt (vocals/piano) and Johannes Biegl (drums) gently shape thoughts into colorful sound waves.

Schneid (from 21:00)

With a symbiosis of spherical cinematic pop, electronica & alternative, the Cologne-based artist schneid dares to create a melancholic, dreamy sound aesthetic reminiscent of artists such as Trentemøller, Bob Moses, Olafur Arnalds, Ry X or Radiohead. With his music, schneid explores musical boundaries and fuses them into an intimate soundtrack that reflects his own artistic journey and joy of experimentation.

BLACK WANDA

It's always midnight in Black Wanda's world. The air shimmers, a pipe drips, somewhere a guitar howls like a hungry coyote. Whiskey, desert, madness - a dark trip through the dark side of rock'n'roll. Twang, noir blues and damn coolness - the perfect soundtrack for anyone who likes to lose themselves in the mystical atmosphere of Twin Peaks.

What crawls out of the speakers sounds like a dark meeting of Mark Lanegan, Nick Cave and Chris Isaak - somewhere in the Bang Bang Bar, red light, thick smoke, no witnesses.

Mathias Schaffhauser (from 18:30)

There is singing here, on almost every song, and if not, then at least there is speaking. This has never happened on any of the Cologne native's albums, at least not under his own name - although it did happen back in 1993 on the longplayer by the band SALLY DAVIS JUNIOR, on which he was also responsible for the vocals and songwriting.

GONG WAH (from 20:15)

In a dark, almost cave-like rehearsal room, they create their first demos and, above all, their own sound. The band themselves call their mixture of distorted guitars, cool new wave and catchy songs fuzzwave. As a trio, with drums and bass played from a tape deck, the first small guerrilla gigs took place. In 2018, two new members, bassist Giso Simon and drummer Nima Davari, joined and GONG WAH became a quintet.

The Odonische Freitagsbühne is based on the concept of non-profit and diversity. Artists from the independent scene and newcomers, regardless of fame and professionalization, are given the opportunity to participate across genres. No costs are incurred by Odonien for the artists and admission is free for visitors.
