The Odonische Freitagsbühne is back.
Every Friday evening from May to September 2025, our sculpture garden will be a meeting place for live music and good vibes!

Between 6 and 10 p.m. there will be drinks, food and a varied soundtrack: punk, indie, soul, rock, cumbia, funk, open mic, global sound, RnB and pop.

The concerts usually start at 6:30 pm. Admission is free.

All artists play for the hat - donations are expressly welcome. Come along, bring your friends and enjoy the summer with us.

The New Planet @derneueplanet

Der Neue Planet is an instrumental band from Cologne founded in 2016. With their records and concerts, they take listeners on a musical journey. On this journey, the band interweaves hard and soft, catchy-melodic and progressively complex passages to create a coherent story: surprising changes of style and a humorous wink included. A precise genre classification is difficult. Post and stoner rock elements merge with sounds ranging from funk to jazz, via kraut and psychedelic rock parts, right through to heavy metal claps. As usual with "Der Neue Planet", there is a lot to discover and "Schwerkraft für Anfänger" can be listened to several times without becoming monotonous or predictable.

Astral Kompakt @astralkompakt

The stoner power trio Astral Kompakt has established a firm place for itself in instrumental stoner rock since its formation in 2017. The band draws its inspiration from genres such as punk, blues and metal, creating a unique combination with a powerful and unmistakable sound. With their latest release Goldader, ASTRAL KOMPAKT have truly struck gold and created an album that you can listen to again and again, each time discovering a multitude of subtleties. The compositions are serious but also humorous, the riffs are sophisticated and captivating. Thanks to the work of Jan Oberg (Earth Ship, GRIN) who recorded, produced and mixed it in his Hidden Planet Studio in Berlin, the album sounds phenomenal all round.

GRIN @grin_cult

With their new album Acid Gods, GRIN deliver an intense mixture of sludge, psychedelic doom and a dense wall of fuzzy noise that completely absorbs the listener. Critics have praised the heavy, primal sound, which has both old fans and new ones hooked. The album has been described as a hypnotic, groovy yet dark journey on par with bands like Mastodon and Elder. Acid Gods is a slow ritual of droning sounds and dark atmosphere - perfect for anyone who likes powerful, haunting heavy rock.

Encantada @encantada.music

Between Munich and Buenos Aires: music as a bridge, rhythm as resistance. The singer-songwriter Encantada grew up in Munich and at the same time carries her roots in Buenos Aires deep within her. In 2021, her solo project was born out of the desire to process personal and social issues musically. Her songs move between contemporary Latin, bossa nova and Latin American protest songs - with a sound that makes experiences of migration, identity and social change audible. With her new single "El ritmo no se muere", a contemporary cumbia, she adds danceable resistance to her repertoire. Created in collaboration with Chilean musician Cote Campusano, the song is a tribute to rhythm as a form of comfort, joy and steadfastness - especially in difficult times.

Los Volcanes @losvolcanes_music

Los Volcanes is a band from Cologne that brings the heat of psychedelic cumbia to European stages. With hypnotic rhythms, tropical melodies and a touch of mysticism, they create a rousing and danceable atmosphere that connects people of all backgrounds. Their performances are energetic and immersive - a celebration of Latin American roots with a contemporary sound.

Raices Picantes @raices.picantes

Latin American souls are united for a new musical experience. Raíces Picantes is a fusion band from Cologne inspired by Afro-Latin American music styles such as cumbia, salsa, afrobeat and funk. They offer a fresh and exciting sound experience that will have you dancing from the very first note.

Cosy Cashmere strolls with you through a colorful summer garden. Bright guitar sounds kiss bouncy upbeats on a cloud of lovely synthesizer sequences. Add to that funky basslines and the necessary dose of anti-fascism and you've got dancing legs swinging, hips gyrating and arms cheering all by themselves.

Ska punk rock band! DNJVN aka We are "The nice guys from next door" from Ratingen/Düsseldorf. We play punk rock with German lyrics, distorted guitars and snotty horns.

Garry Blueberry & Ravetea @garryblueberry_ @ravetea

Conscious rap & electronic beats with vocals

Garry Blueberry is a drama student in his final year and represents the queer community in his lyrics. Ravetea is an event planner and grew up on hip hop jams. Both are connected by rap, of course, but above all by a long-standing friendship and many shared experiences. Together, Garry Blueberry and Ravetea released an album last year with a musical spectrum that will continue to run through, from fast electronic beats to classic 90 bpm hip hop, from serious real talk to experimental or funny concepts. Her style as well as her lyrics are always uncompromising and brutally honest, her stage presence captivates the audience. Look forward to something personal and genuine.

Die Anteile @dieanteile

Die Anteile are a Berlin-based duo that can be musically categorized between robot rock and electro dance punk. The vocoder has a firm place in their hearts and suitcases, either distorting the Dada and cut-up inspired lyrics or releasing them into the room as spoken word. The parts, equipped with guitar and bass, work closely together with the small instruments that live between cables and power strips in their tweed suitcase. The duo draws inspiration from the fidgetiness of Talking Heads, DAF, Peaches and Ryuichi Sakamoto. They don't usually like tradition, but they would see themselves in the Krautrock genre. They like to froth up their songs into a neo-psychedelic mixture and remain electro pop curious.

The Odonische Freitagsbühne is based on the concept of non-profit and diversity. Artists from the independent scene and newcomers, regardless of fame and professionalization, are given the opportunity to participate across genres. No costs are incurred by Odonien for the artists and admission is free for visitors.
