OFF EUROPA: ART ATTACK

The dance piece and happening ART ATTACK, which gives this year's OFF-EUROPA edition its title, by and with the Israeli artist couple Niv Sheinfeld & Oren Laor and ensemble, operates in a field of tension between appealingly proclaimed art theory and unleashed live excess. With intense dancing, a combative pose and queer playfulness, it moves with leaps and bounds through the pop-cultural spaces between revolution and kitsch. A rousing celebration of non-conformity and live experience on stage.

Niv Sheinfeld danced for several years in the company of Liat Dror & Nir Ben-Gal and has worked as an independent choreographer for Batsheva and the Kibbutz Dance Company, among others. Oren Laor studied acting and theater at Tel Aviv University. They have been working together since 2004, touring the world in various constellations and with a constantly growing repertoire.

At OFF EUROPA: MAPPING ISRAEL in 2019, they performed in Leipzig and Dresden with YOU HAPPY PUPPET. They also performed at LOFFT - DAS THEATER in 2021 with THE THIRD DANCE at OFF EUROPA: MANöVER MEISTERSTÜCKE.
