OFF EUROPA: PERFORMING LOVE

perFORMing LOVE is Roni Chadash's largest group choreography to date. The young ensemble dances the theme of LOVE in many facets, both effectively and warmly as a process and as a physical state. The performance - potentially kitschy, of course, with such a theme - is charismatic and moving and, as a group work, a great utopia in remembrance of the state of our world. Roni Chadash works as a choreographer, performer and teacher in Tel Aviv. In her movement research, she breaks down bodies into different, independently functioning areas. Her constant search revolves around uncovering instinctive, emotional and unfiltered sources of movement. The way she deals with the body frees it from history, stereotypes and labeling and confronts it with other bodies, but also with space and time. Roni Chadash has been awarded numerous prizes both in Israel and abroad. OFF EUROPA has been following Roni Chadash's work since 2016. VICTIMS & IMAGES (2019) and CHAPTERS OF JOY (2022) have been shown in Leipzig so far.
