Klaus "John" Fiehe (* January 24, 1957 in Hamm is a German musician and radio presenter. Klaus Fiehe became known as a member of the Neue-Deutsche-Welle band Geier Sturzflug (vocals, saxophone). He has been a presenter on the radio station 1 Live since 1996. On 1 Live Fiehe (until 2006: Raum und Zeit), he presents one of the last remaining author programs on German radio every Sunday evening from 9 pm to midnight. The music is not determined by an editorial team, but by Fiehe himself. Klaus Fiehe is often compared to the British cult DJ and BBC presenter John Peel, as his show also spans genres from old krautrock to modern minimal and dubstep.

Klaus Fiehe's wife, with whom he was married for 22 years, died in July 2021.[2] He has lived in Osnabrück since 2022[4]. According to his own statements, he has a collection of 40,000 recordings.[5] Fiehe is also a former member of the British punk band The Bollock Brothers, in which he played the saxophone alongside singer and friend Jock McDonald. In recent years, Fiehe has also occasionally appeared in film projects: he is an interview partner in the documentary about noise music "Die Stille überlebt",[6] in the music video "Nachtzug" by the band Lyschko he plays a train traveler[7] and in the film "Glanz, Gesocks und Gloria" he plays the supermarket conferencer Joe Salamander.

Since 2008, Fiehe has been a volunteer on the internet radio program ByteFM, which was founded by media journalist Ruben Jonas Schnell in Hamburg in the same year. The one-hour program "Karamba" can be heard every Thursday at 8 pm on byte.fm[8] via internet stream.
