with the acts Cats in the Bag, Ni Else & Fat Jos Diary
Cats in the Bag:
Cats in the bag, this band stands for funk rock from the 70s to the present day. But you don't buy cats in a bag with this band:
They perform a successful mixture of funky rock paired with soulful elements that doesn't shy away from pop in the choruses.
That is also the idea: groove and pressure in verses and solo phases and catchy choruses, and everything is danceable at best.
Like all bands, they promise the groove and the rhythmic foundation, and here it seems to be right (so you hear) and invites you to listen and linger. We attach great importance to variety and versatility, so that everyone gets their money's worth.
The role models come from the great soul and funk era (Chic, Larry Graham...) of the last century and reach up to the most modern now (RHCP, Cory Wong...).
We try to weld together a wide variety of musical influences and period quotes into a hopefully convincing style of our own.
The aim of only using our own material without covering it has worked well so far.
The self-written lyrics and melody lines leave plenty of room for interpretation and are intended to keep things entertaining.
Ni Else:
Hi, I'm Ni Else from Bremen. I play voice and guitar. If it fits, loopers and backing tracks make things even better. I can be melancholic and thoughtful but also loud and distorted. My songs thrive on this contrast. Go, Indie, Go!
Fat Jo's Diary:
FAT JO'S DIARY from Bremen is dedicated to a sophisticated mix of handmade rock and funk elements. From ballads to uptempo rock songs. The JO'S do completely without live recordings from the tape. Drums, bass, guitars and vocals are 100% live! This is FAT JO'S DIARY, honest and expressive rock music
