Öffentliche Führung am Bullenhuser Damm

The Hamburg Memorials and Learning Sites Foundation guides visitors through the memorial site on Bullenhuser Damm to uphold the memory of the victims.

In Neuengamme concentration camp, an SS doctor carried out tuberculosis experiments on twenty Jewish children. In order to conceal this crime, SS men murdered the children and their four caretakers a few days before the end of the war in the school on Bullenhuser Damm in the war-ravaged district of Rothenburgsort, which was last used as a subcamp. Today, a memorial with an exhibition and a rose garden commemorates the victims. The public tour explains the history and guides visitors through the exhibition.

On three days, visitors can take part in public tours to learn more about the history of the building, the fate of the victims and the history of the memorial.
