Öffentliche Wildkräuter-Führung auf dem Campus der European XFEL Röntgenforschungslasers

In the organizer's words:

Jens Clausen from the "Schenefelder Beete e.V." association shows that the European XFEL campus is not only home to cutting-edge technology, but that the near-natural design of the site and renaturation have created extensive green spaces that provide a habitat for a wide variety of plants and animals.

The focus of the tour is on edible plants and how they can be processed.

The tour is in German and lasts around one and a half hours. Please wear suitable clothing and sturdy shoes! Registration is requested.

About the association "Schenefelder Beete e.V.":

Since 2017, the non-profit association "Schenefelder Beete" has been committed to making Schenefeld a better place to live. The association creates flowering areas and berry hedges and runs a community garden. It also supports the "Schenefeld im Wandel" initiative, which is committed to climate protection and a sustainable circular economy. Particularly noteworthy is the project "Schenefelder Beete machen Schule", in which school gardens become a green classroom for second-graders for a year.
