OH! – Du Fröhliche

In the organizer's words:

A cabaret-style, musical introduction to the contemplative pre-Christmas period for laughing, indulging and dreaming with the well-known Berlin drag queens and travesty greats Tilly Creutzfeldt-Jakob and Margot Schlönzke.

Margot and Tilly promise an atmospheric and all-round warm-hearted Christmas show in which they sing their hearts out. Classics, swinging jazz versions and heart-warming, dreamy melodies alternate one after the other. However, despite all her efforts, Tilly somehow can't quite get into the Christmas spirit: what she needs is one of the legendary and somewhat quirky Christmas shows on public radio, in which the stars of the German pop music scene take to the stage and sing their way through sparse papier-mâché backdrops in artificial snow.

No sooner said than done!

And so the two invent their new Christmas show "OH! - Du Fröhliche!" for the fictitious regional TV station BERplus, in which they resurrect old and new stars on stage, singing and dancing in a Christmas atmosphere. With a wink and great attention to detail, there is a reunion with old classics that are humorously staged and lots of new hits.

A pre-Christmas music show that brings back memories of the wonderful days of childhood, but also shines a light on the facade of the ideal world.
