It almost sounds like a modern fairy tale: Two people meet by chance, fall in love, make music together without much of a plan, upload their songs to Soundcloud on the side - and become one of the most sought-after bands of the year overnight. This is exactly how the extraordinary career of British alt-pop duo Oh Wonder began in 2015. Since then, they have been delighting fans all over the world for ten years now. This success story began in London. Anthony West and Josephine Vander Gucht were both already making music independently of each other. Josephine had just completed her classical piano and violin training and had written her first songs, while Anthony was making a name for himself as a producer. When the two met, a special magic was immediately felt - between them, their voices and their songs. From that moment on, a special experiment began: every month they wrote, produced and released a new song. Their first tracks already achieved hundreds of thousands of clicks, and fans around the world waited eagerly for each new upload. Their electronic pop ballads, characterized by synthesizers and the harmonious vocals of the two, immediately captivated listeners. This extraordinary project culminated in their self-titled debut album "Oh Wonder", which was released in 2015 and went straight into the top 30 of the British album charts - the start of an international career. The second album, "Ultralife", followed in 2017, which also attracted a great deal of media attention and even entered the top 10 of the UK charts. Oh Wonder's lyrics have always been at the heart of their music: in calm, honest snapshots, the couple talk about their love story, the highs and lows, and transform personal experiences into universal feelings. Their third album "No One Else Can Wear Your Crown" (2020) also documented an intense phase: the rollercoaster ride between a world tour and the sudden silence afterwards. And with the two consecutive albums "22 Break" (2021) and "22 Make" (2022), they gave their fans a deep insight into their almost failed relationship - and how they found each other again through making music together. Ten years have now passed since the release of "Oh Wonder". Ten years full of festivals, tours and unforgettable concerts around the globe. To mark the anniversary, Oh Wonder have re-recorded their debut album: with more instruments, more experience and even more love. With this "new old" music and their impressive repertoire of pop hits, they are finally going on tour again this fall.
