Everything would be different without respect. What does it mean to behave respectfully? And what would our world look like if there was no more respect?
20 pupils from the Kunterbunt theater group approach these questions in an experimental way. No universally valid answer has yet been found, but the audience can experience what goes on in the various minds.
In a collage of scenes, accompanied by their own musical creations and text fragments, the group processes their experiences and thoughts on the subject of respect. Everything moves in the field of tension between the longing for respectful interaction with one another and a lack of respect resulting from comfort and self-centeredness.
The TheaterAG Kunterbunt is an inclusive annual (school) project. A total of 20 children from two neighboring schools (special needs center and elementary school) work together on a performance for one hour every week. Everyone from grades 1 - 6 is welcome.
Their theme this year is "Respect". The children develop the piece themselves by experimenting and improvising: We decide together what we work on and what we incorporate into the play. Everyone contributes as much as he or she can and wants to. We focus on the strengths and abilities of the participants. We design the framework conditions in such a way that everyone who wants to take part can do so.
The group is led by two teachers and a volunteer.
