At Trio Catch's ear-cracking concerts, ears are opened and new sounds are heard. The focus is always on one piece, which is played twice and examined in more detail in between in an exchange with the audience. Everything can, nothing must: no age restrictions, no fear of contact, no need for previous musical knowledge. This time, Barcelona-born composer Helena Cánovas Parés will be performing her new piece "una mica de cosa de no res", which was premiered by Trio Catch in Madrid last year.

In una mica de cosa de no res, Helena Cánovas Parés uses the performers' bodies as a further element of the score. However, she is not looking for a choreographic or theatrical result, but starts from the gestures of the musicians and plays with the question of what happens to the sound of a phrase, for example, when it is more controlled or moves away from the organic. In the novel La plaça del Diamant by Catalan author Mercè Rodoreda, "una mica de cosa de no res" (a hint of nothing) is the cry of a woman who is exhausted, who has reached her limits. A tiny cry that wants to free the body from tension, but does not sound as expected because the body that produces it is not yet free. The composition by Helena Cánovas Parés explores the duality between a controlled and a free body; it tries to flow, but encounters something that prevents its development.
