They are cult and their story began in 2005 in Bochum-Wiemelhausen: Hartmut and me. One just wants to bathe, drink and play PlayStation. The other wants to change the whole world every day. One is a laborer. The other is a philosopher. One has the peace and quiet. The other gets cyclists off their bikes with their arms out to make a subversive statement against the cliché of male combativeness. The first part of the legendary "Hartmut und ich" series of novels was published 20 years ago by Fischer Taschenbuch. A book in which male friends carry their canned beer like revolvers in the side pocket of their garden trousers and at the same time philosophize about twelve-tone music. The episodic novel with the crazy actionist and his good-natured friend was followed by five further volumes and a novella.

At home in Bochum, author Oliver Uschmann and musician Tommy Finke are celebrating the anniversary of an unforgettable male friendship - and are bringing other companions on stage who have accompanied Hartmut and his friends over the decades. Bochum singer and actor Dominik Buch, who has written VfL Bochum's current anthem and accompanies every victory with a new song. The satirist Carsten Wunn, who created a flat-sharing community of male and female cats with his "Kniesel und ich" universe. Cartoonist Michael Holtschulte, who sends the Grim Reaper and his son through more than just the Ruhr region in "Tot, aber lustig". Bochum cult comedian Hennes Bender, who will be lending his voice exclusively to the Hartmut characters on this evening. And who knows who else will spontaneously jump onto the stage...

Stand-up, readings, improvisation, talk, songs and the most vibrant Ruhr area culture - it's going to be an evening!
