Jazz pianist, singer, composer - Olivia Trummer is everything in one. On stage, she shimmers elegantly and light-heartedly in all facets of her artistic personality. Her stylistic range extends from classical music to her own compositions and fresh interpretations of songs by Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Jerome Kern and others. Without any showmanship, Trummer ventures into dizzying heights, but also penetrates into quiet, peaceful depths. She is coming to Jazzfest Bonn with a brand new solo album. Bravura keyboard artistry and touching vocals create a poetic whole.

You can immediately hear that the chemistry is right with this duo. No wonder, as two masters of their craft come together here, united by their love of often overlooked gems from the jazz repertoire and Brazilian music. Alessandro Lanzoni, currently one of the hottest pianists in Italy, has worked with greats such as Kurt Rosenwinkel, Lee Konitz, Aldo Romano and Ben Wendel. Seamus Blake, who recently moved to Cologne, continues to write the history of saxophone playing with a radiant tone, but never forgets whose shoulders he stands on. John Scofield, in whose Quiet Band Blake played for a long time, described him as "an extraordinary, a total saxophonist".
