Description:
Tatyana, a young, dreamy woman, falls in love at first sight with the haughty, indifferent Onegin when he visits her at a party. She confesses her love to him in a letter, but Onegin rejects her by destroying her letter in front of her eyes and turning to Olga instead. This leads to a duel in which the romantic poet Lenski is killed by Onegin.
Ten years later, Tatyana is married to Prince Gremin. Onegin, now disappointed with life, returns and hopes to win back Tatyana's love. But Tatyana, who still has feelings for him, remains faithful to her husband and rejects Onegin once and for all by tearing up his letter. In despair, Onegin leaves her and Tatyana is left alone.
