Open Air | Dacheröden in Concert: Tim Neuhaus

Tim Neuhaus is coming to Kultur: Haus Dacheröden with his solo project THE NEW HOUSE! Surrounded by a prepared drum kit, guitars, piano & loop station, the drummer from Clueso creates his special soundscapes on all instruments simultaneously and plays and sings songs that are lyrical, sometimes abstract, mostly direct, but always biographical. The music magazine Rolling Stone described Tim's debut album in 2011 as "sublime, uplifting art". His unique guitar playing in the style of indie pop mixes with Tim's expressive drumming and shows how different and ambiguous pop music can be.

After his 2011 indie hit "As Life Found You", Tim followed up with four more solo albums and collaborations and album recordings with WANDA, HUNDREDS, DIE HÖCHSTE EISENBAHN, TOUR OF TOURS, WALLIS BIRD, among others.

Thanks to his spherical arrangements, the multi-instrumentalist and composer has also been in demand in the film industry for a few years now. (e.g. for Netflix, cinema or TATORT Berlin).

In 2024 Tim traveled through the USA as drummer for Glen Hansard as support for PEARL JAM and played songs together with Eddie Vedder. All of Tim's experiences lead to new songs.

The concert at Kultur: Haus Dacheröden will be one of Tim's few solo concerts after a long period of touring with his long-time friend Clueso. The audience can also look forward to hearing some previously unreleased songs.

The idea of the solo project THE NEW HOUSE leaves room for improvisation and spontaneous collaborations. In Erfurt, Tim Neuhaus will be accompanied by songwriter Anton Weigel. The frontman of ANTON & THE DOTS will open the evening as support with his own songs.
