In July, we are leaving the movie theater and bringing interactive storytelling to the open-air cinema. In doing so, we raise the question of how much video game there can be in a documentary:

TRACES OF RESPONSIBILITY is an interactive documentary that takes the audience on a journey through the past and present of Rwanda. The film sheds light on the origins and consequences of the genocide against the Tutsi in 1994 and shows the complex processes of coming to terms with the past, reconciliation and hope for a peaceful future. As in a video game, we navigate together through a multi-perspective storyline and at the same time take on an unusual role through this decision-making authority, which invites us to reflect on collective storytelling.

Playing is not compulsory here - it's an invitation.
