Open Lab Abend: Boden gut, alles gut

In the organizer's words:

What does the future of our soil look like? What ideas do we need to protect this valuable resource? Design your own futures at the open lab evening "Boden gut, alles gut" - creatively, exploratively and with all your senses. Your prototypes will become part of a shared landscape of thought: a participatory sculpture that will be on display in the Futurium Lab from September.

Immerse yourself in the hidden world beneath our feet! You will discover surprising facts about soil health and develop your vision for a sustainable future using the futures prototyping method.

Whether you send a robot mole on a hunt for microplastics, give the soil new rights or design a whole new plant world - this workshop is all about building, drawing, tinkering and inventing! Creative materials, curious questions and an open view of future topics create spaces in which you can all develop your ideas and make them visible.

What is an Open Lab evening?

The Lab gets creative every Thursday. You will learn about methods such as design thinking or futures storytelling, can try out 3D printers and laser cutters and take a look behind the scenes of the Lab projects. There's something new every week.

Workshop leader

The workshop will be led by Archimedes Exhibitions. Archimedes is a Berlin-based creative agency for interactive exhibition design. With an interdisciplinary team, the agency develops and produces immersive experience spaces all over the world at the interface of science, design and technology. The Futurium is a workshop format that invites visitors to participate, think ahead and try things out.
