Open Lab Abend: Quantenzirkus

In the organizer's words:

An interactive exhibition with hands-on activities

Come in, come in! Welcome to the quantum circus. Enter a fascinating world where the smallest building blocks of the universe are the biggest stars and perform their amazing tricks: Quanta! Here, the rules of everyday life are turned upside down - particles can dance in several places at the same time, be connected over huge distances and constantly present us with new puzzles.

What sounds like magic is actually full of science. The secrets of the quantum have already produced miracles such as smartphones, microwaves and UV nail polish. And tomorrow? Lightning-fast quantum computers, unbreakable communication encryption and even mind-controlled prostheses could become reality.

At the Quantum Circus, we invite you to discover this wondrous world. Try your luck on the Quantum Queens Wheel of Knowledge, explore interactive stages, get up close to the smallest building blocks of the universe and be inspired in the Quantum Café. And best of all: you are part of the show!Join us in shaping the quantum world of tomorrow - creatively, boldly and full of imagination.

On this Open Lab evening, we will travel together into the world of quanta and open an exhibition with hands-on stations in the Futurium Lab's workshop area. Warm-ups, reflections, DIY experiments and multimedia experiences will further enrich the evening.

The exhibition is part of the "Quantum Career" research project, which is funded as part of the BMBF funding line "Quantum aktiv - intuitive outreach concepts for quantum technologies". The aim is to create access to quantum technologies that is as low-threshold and action-based as possible.
