Open Library Night at the IEL

The International English Library is participating in Germany's Night of the Open Libraries (Nacht der Bibliotheken)!

Join us at the library on Friday, April 4 for an evening of literary festivities. Our doors will be open from 3-10pm, so be sure to pop by for one or all of the evening's events 😉

Open Night of the Library Program:

5pm: Warrior Queen!

Author discussion with Jawahara Saidullah, writer, storyteller, and president of the American International Women’s Club of Düsseldorf.

7pm: Circling Orbital!

Reviewing 2024 Booker Prize winner, Orbital, a novel by Samantha Harvey about a day on board the ISS - with Andrea Boyd, Deputy of Astronaut Operations for the European Space Agency and flight controllor for the ISS.

8.30pm: Showcasing Shakespeare!

English Theatre Düsseldorf presents songs, scenes and sonnets from some of Shakespeare’s works.

Literary Cocktail Bar open from 6pm!
