In the organizer's words:

To mark the 200th anniversary of the death of Cologne collector Ferdinand Franz Wallraf, our OPEN SPACE is now dedicated to Cologne's passion for collecting - from the 19th century to the present day!

With his collection - over 40,000 works of art and historical objects - Wallraf laid the foundations for Cologne's museums.

But we're not just looking at this manic collector: come along and discover what prominent Cologne residents - such as musician Wolfgang Niedecken or former cathedral architect Prof. Dr. Barbara Schock-Werner - collect today: from curiosities to banal things, from lightning strikes to alarm clocks!

The best thing about it: you can take part yourself!
