From the afterlife straight to open-air heaven: Filmfest München opens the Kinoliebe Summer Festival with ZWEIGSTELLE!

Once again this year, we are kicking off the Kinoliebe Summer Festival together with Filmfest München as opening partner with a real one-two punch - from Bavarian cinema comedy (ZWEIGSTELLE, 09.07.) to Berlin Kiez (#SCHWARZESCHAFE, 10.07.).

Immediately following the 42nd FILMFEST MÜNCHEN, we will present selected highlights - fresh from the festival, well before the theatrical release - curated cinema of tomorrow: absurd, heartfelt and sometimes simply heavenly.

Look forward to a moderated evening with Christoph Gröner and Julia Weigl, the leading duo of Filmfest München. With a clear compass and fresh spirit, they have reinvigorated the festival as an international premiere festival and number 1 platform for German film between beer garden vibe, world cinema and Eisbach flow.

And: We are expecting numerous guests from the film team and cast - stay tuned!

When Resi and her clique get into a fatal accident on a trip to the Alps, they find themselves in a Bavarian afterlife authority that will decide their fate. Elysium, purgatory, rebirth - anything seems possible. When it becomes clear that the group lacks all conviction, the question arises: what the hell happens to someone who didn't believe in anything when they were alive? Absurd after-life comedy.
