ORBIT – A War Series • Space Oratorium für KI-Stimmklone, 3 D-Audio und Elektronik • Brigitta Muntendorf

In the organizer's words:

Light effects, fog and three-dimensional sounds create a futuristic spatial and listening experience in the DHC hall. Electronic sounds and voices from over 40 loudspeakers orbit the audience like a living extraterrestrial organism. Brigitta Muntendorf, who is one of the most influential composers of her generation, has composed a hypermodern 3D sound theater commissioned by "La Biennale di Venezia 2023" that uses new media to give us touching and haunting testimonies of wars and power struggles that have been waged against the female body for thousands of years.

Using artificial intelligence and deep learning technologies, the composer creates digital voices. In a technoid choir, she has immortal female fighters sensually and politically proclaim a kind of "opera of the future".

Without the participation of live performers, Brigitta Muntendorf stages an intense emotional space that touches each member of the audience individually and creates a deep collective experience.
